Description

This British Standard specifies requirements for synthetic-fibre based needlefelts manufactured from acrylic, modacrylic, polyamide, polyester, polypropylene or from blends of these fibres and is intended to be used for general purposes including packaging applications.

The standard covers the types of fibre to be used and gives constructional and performance requirements including chemical requirements.

NOTE 1 The felts specified in this standard are not intended to be used as underlays for textile floor coverings because these are dealt with in BS 5808.

NOTE 2 The titles of publications referred to in this standard are listed on the inside back cover.
