Sets out an infrared method for the determination of carbon in a range of ferroalloys after combustion in oxygen using high-frequency induction heating. The method is applicable to all types of ferroalloys having carbon content in the range 0.005% to 8%.
Scope
This Standard sets out methods for determining quality variation, checking and adjusting the precision of sampling, sample preparation and measurement, and testing for bias in the sampling of ferroalloys.
