They provide a set of procedures that the<br \/>\naccess terminal and the access network can use<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 To conduct the access terminal minimum performance and certain<br \/>\nsignaling conformance tests in a factory\/laboratory<br \/>\nenvironment.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0To conduct measurement of certain forward and reverse<br \/>\nlink performances in a field environment.<\/p>\n<p>These technical requirements form a compatibi lity standard for<br \/>\ntest applications in Ultra Mobi le Broadband\u2122 (UMB\u2122)<sup>2<\/sup><br \/>\nair interface standards. These requirements ensure that a compliant<br \/>\naccess terminal and a compli ant access network can interoperate to<br \/>\nexecute tests in meeting the above objectives.<\/p>\n<p>This speci fication is primari ly oriented toward requirements<br \/>\nnecessary for the design and implementation of access terminals. As<br \/>\na result, detai led procedures are speci fi ed for access terminals<br \/>\nto ensure a uni form response to all access networks.
