The criteria for measurement accuracy,<br \/>\nincluding uncertainty, external influences, and calibration, are<br \/>\ncovered. Based on the relative merits of the different techniques,<br \/>\nguidance is then given on the selection of an appropriate<br \/>\nmeasurement technique, and, where appropriate, on the construction,<br \/>\ninstallation, calibration, and use of a measuring instrument.<\/p>\n<p>ESDU 12003 covers pressure measurement in stationary and moving<br \/>\nfluids, and volume flow and mass flow measurements. Measurements in<br \/>\nincompressible and compressible fluids are discussed. The flows<br \/>\nconsidered are, in the first instance, considered steady and single<br \/>\nphase.
