The principal change in this edition as compared with the 2005 edition of AS\/NZS 60335.2.74 is an added New Zealand and Australian National Variation clarifying that immersion heaters that maintain a liquid at a set temperature are tested as specified for appliances intended to prevent water from freezing in animal troughs (clause AZ.5.101). This edition will supersede the 2005 edition on 29 June 2020.
