{"id":316415,"date":"2024-10-19T21:49:22","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T21:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-3900-a91986\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T20:00:00","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T20:00:00","slug":"bs-3900-a91986","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-3900-a91986\/","title":{"rendered":"BS 3900-A9:1986"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This International Standard specifies a method for determining the flashpoint of a paint, varnish, paint binder, solvent, petroleum or a related product and makes allowance for deviations from standard atmospheric pressure.<\/p>\n<p>The method is suitable for use over the temperature range 5 to 110 \u00b0C, although some of the apparatus listed in Annex A cannot cover all of this range using the thermometer supplied with the apparatus.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE 1 In some countries, existing regulations may require the use of other methods over at least a part of the temperature range 5 to 110 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE 2 Care should be taken in the interpretation of results obtained from solvent mixtures containing halogenated hydrocarbons (see clause <b>0<\/b>).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Method for determination of the flashpoint of paint, or petroleum or a related product, in the temperature range 5\u00b0 to 110\u00b0 using alternative closed cups including Abel, Abel-Pensky, Pensky-Martens and Tag by reference to various national standards.
