For general requirements for safety, construction and materials of gas hobs the Standard <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO\/DIS&nbsp;21364-1:2019<\/span><\/span> applies.<\/p>\n<p>This Part covers the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>surface cooking appliances:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>hobs;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>surface grills;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>griddles;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>being built-in, part of a cooking appliance or table top;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hobs accessories.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It does not cover surface cooking appliances intended for outdoor use and\/or commercial use as well as electrical heated elements as part of the appliance. It does also not cover appliances with automatic burner control systems.<\/p>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;1\n <\/div>\n<p>For requirements of electrical safety refer to the IEC standards.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE&nbsp;2\n <\/div>\n<p>Attention is drawn to the fact that<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be necessary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national water supply authorities and similar authorities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>This International Standard does not cover requirements for gas installation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 21364-21.
