Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.1<\/span> These test methods provide a means of measuring the amount of creep relaxation of a gasket material at a predetermined time after a compressive stress has been applied.<\/p>\n 1.1.1<\/span> Test Method A\u2014<\/span>Creep relaxation measured by means of a calibrated strain gauge on a bolt.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n 1.1.2<\/span> Test Method B\u2014<\/span>Creep relaxation measured by means of a calibrated bolt with dial indicator.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n 1.2<\/span> The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard.
