Description

This document specifies for communication system independent data models and parameters to be mapped on a CAN-based application layer such as SAE J1939-21 or EN 50325-4 (CANopen). It is intended for the usage between stand-alone electric control units (ECUs) and applicable telematic units installed in commercial on-road vehicles or off-road and off-highway vehicles. Body applications include tail-lifts, truck-mounted cranes, tipper control units, refuse collecting equipment, fire-fighting equipment and cooling sub-systems, but is not limited to them.
