Service Option 5 provides Group-3 facsimile<br \/>\n(abbreviated as &#034;fax&#034; hereafter) transmission capability for these<br \/>\nsystems.<\/p>\n<p>These two Service Options are defined in a single standard<br \/>\nbecause their user interfaces and associated call control<br \/>\nprocedures are similar.
