{"id":609302,"date":"2024-11-05T22:45:54","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T22:45:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/iso-240832021\/"},"modified":"2024-11-05T22:45:54","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T22:45:54","slug":"iso-240832021","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/iso\/iso-240832021\/","title":{"rendered":"ISO 24083:2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document specifies guidelines for the archives community on the collection and reporting of statistics for the following purposes:<\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 strategic planning and internal management of archives;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 aggregating and comparing operational and performance statistics at regional, national, and international levels;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 reporting to stakeholders such as funding institutions, politicians, researchers, and the general public;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 promoting the role and value of archives for advancing learning and research, education and culture, and social and economic life;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 improving the management of processes, reinforcing transparency and supporting good governance.<\/p>\n<p>This document does not apply to records centres responsible for records that are still in the legal custody of the organization that created or received them, although it is recognized that some archives also have responsibilities for appraising, acquiring, and managing the current records of organizations that can or not be transferred to the archives for permanent retention.
