The documentation of surveys<br \/>\nincludes the use of consistent nomenclature and units for records<br \/>\nand a standardized methodology for calculating minimum detectable<br \/>\nconcentration levels. The standard is not intended to replace<br \/>\nexisting requirements for design or strategies for performing<br \/>\nspecific radiological surveys, e.g., final status or compliance<br \/>\ndemonstration surveys for remediated sites, and operational surveys<br \/>\nto demonstrate radiological control. This standard identifies the<br \/>\nsurvey tasks used in most radiological surveys, and provides<br \/>\ndetails on how these survey tasks are performed and documented. The<br \/>\ninformation provided in this standard is intended to be used in the<br \/>\ndevelopment of procedures for the various radiological survey<br \/>\nprograms.
