Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> These test methods cover the use of pendulum damping testers in the determination of hardness of organic coatings that have been applied to acceptably plane rigid surfaces, such as a metal or glass panel.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> Two test methods based on different pendulum types are covered as follows:<\/p>\n

\n

1.2.1<\/span> Test Method A\u2014K\u00f6nig Pendulum Hardness Test.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1.2.2<\/span> Test Method B\u2014Persoz Pendulum Hardness Test.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.3<\/span> This standard is similar in content (but not technically equivalent) to ISO 1522.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
