{"id":308987,"date":"2024-10-19T21:12:47","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T21:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bsi-19-30336188-dc\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T18:53:48","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T18:53:48","slug":"bsi-19-30336188-dc","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bsi-19-30336188-dc\/","title":{"rendered":"BSI 19\/30336188 DC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of the mass per unit area and five methods (Method A to Method E) for the determination of the fibre mass per unit area of moulding compounds and prepregs.<\/p>\n<p>Method A: Extraction by soxhlet<\/p>\n<p>Method B: Extraction by immersion in solvent in a beaker<\/p>\n<p>Method C: Decomposition by loss ignition<\/p>\n<p>Method D: Extraction by wet combustion<\/p>\n<p>Method E: Method by calculation<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard is applicable to the following types of material:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>moulding compound and preimpregnated unidirectional sheet, tape, fabric and mats.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>prepregs in which any type of reinforcement (aramid, carbon, glass, etc.) and any type of matrix (thermosetting or thermoplastic) has been used.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Typically, reinforcement fibres are coated with sizing or finishes. These normally dissolve with the resin and are, therefore, included in the resin content.<\/p>\n<p>This International Standard is not applicable to the following types of prepregs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>these containing reinforcements which are soluble (or partly soluble) in the solvents used to dissolve the resin.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS EN ISO 10352.
