The steels specified in this document are intended for use in welded or bolted structures.<\/p>\n<p>The specific requirements for structural steels are given in the individual parts of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO&nbsp;630<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>This document does not include the following structural steels, some of which are covered by other International Standards:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>sheet and strip: refer to ISO&nbsp;TC&nbsp;17\/SC&nbsp;12 \u201cContinuous mill flat rolled products\u201d;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>tubular products: refer to ISO&nbsp;TC&nbsp;5\/SC&nbsp;1 \u201cSteel tubes\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE 1\n <\/div>\n<p>Lists of standards covered by ISO\/TC&nbsp;17\/SC&nbsp;12 and ISO\/TC&nbsp;5\/SC&nbsp;1 are available on the ISO Web site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"non-normative-note\">\n<div class=\"note-label\">\n  NOTE 2\n <\/div>\n<p>In all parts of <span class=\"std\"><span class=\"std-ref\">ISO 630<\/span><\/span>, the term of &#8220;thickness&#8221; is considered as &#8220;nominal thickness&#8221;, unless otherwise stated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>BS ISO 630-1.
