These requirements cover asbestos-cement pressure pipe, couplings and gaskets for use in public and private water works and fire service systems and connections to such systems. Pipe and couplings covered by these requirements have nominal inside diameters of 3 to 36 inches.

Pipe and couplings covered by these requirements are designated as Class 100, Class 150, and Class 200 for maximum working pressures of 100, 150 and 200 pounds per square inch (psi), respectively.
