ESDU AERO W.02.04.01 gives curves of the drag of a flat plate (based on half wetted area) plotted against Reynolds number based on the length of the plate for various values of transition position from fully laminar to fully turbulent boundary layer. These data are provided only for use with ESDU AERO W.02.04.02 and W.02.04.03 which give form factors by which these data must be factored to obtain the drag of the corresponding aerofoils. More accurate data for skin friction and other parameters of laminar and turbulent boundary layers on a flat plate are given in ESDU 68019 and ESDU 68020.
