Diese Internationale Norm legt mehrere Arten von Probenplatten fest und beschreibt Verfahren zu ihrer Vorbereitung vor dem Beschichten. Diese Norm-Probenplatten werden für allgemeine Verfahren zur Prüfung von Beschichtungsstoffen verwendet. Bei vielen gebräuchlichen Prüfverfahren für Beschichtungsstoffe können die Art der benutzten Probenplatte und ihre Vorbereitung die Prüfergebnisse erheblich beeinflussen. Daher ist es wichtig, sowohl die Probenplatten als auch die Verfahren zu ihrer Vorbereitung vor dem Beschichten so genau wie möglich festzulegen. Es ist nicht möglich, in eine Internationale Norm alle Arten und Vorbereitungen von Probenplatten für die Prüfung von Beschichtungsstoffen aufzunehmen. Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt als reproduzierbar bekannte Vorbereitungsverfahren und gibt Hinweise für Fälle, in denen wegen unzureichender internationaler Übereinstimmung der Verfahren noch Unklarheiten bestehen können.*Inhaltsverzeichnis
