The Standard is based on the testing of standard configurations and provides minimum requirements for these fire-stopping systems. It is intended to complement the fire-protection requirements of the Building Code of Australia and is to be read in conjunction with AS 1530.4. Methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures &#8211; Part 4: Fire-resistance tests of elements of building construction. Specific sections cover basic design requirements, the determination of fire-resistance, the permissible variations from the tested prototype and the appraisal of the test results.
