This standard specifies a method, based upon linear-elastic fracture-mechanics (LEFM), for the determination of the fracture resistance of structural adhesive joints under an applied mode I opening load using the double cantilever beam (DCB) and tapered double cantilever beam (TDCB) specimens.<\/p>\n
